About this event
Hello fellow Porschephiles, Carnivores and Pescatarians,
On January 28, 2025 starting at 5:30, come join me and your fellow Porsche enthusiasts for a great evening at Eddie V’s Prime Seafood and Steaks located at 789 W Harbor Dr, Suite 158, San Diego, CA 92101 in downtown San Diego near Seaport Village, Embarcadero Marina Park North.
If you salivate for delicious, expertly prepared seafood and steaks, look no further than Eddie V’s who sets the San Diego standard for high quality in both areas. They feature Prime Seafood including Chilean Sea Bass, Georges Bank Scallops, Norwegian Salmon and even some sashimi for sushi lovers. Their shrimp cocktail and crab cake which is mostly crab with a very tiny amount of filler are some of the best in the city.
Carnivores can rejoice over their premium hand cut steaks including, but not limited to, a 22 oz Prime Bone-in Ribeye and an 18 oz Prime Bone-in New York Strip, either of which will dazzle your taste buds. Also included on their menu are Morel crusted lamb chops and, of course, the ever decadent surf and turf.
Their irresistible sides including lobster mashed potatoes and truffled Mac and cheese among others will lead you into temptation. For you veggie lovers out there, they also serve, umami filled grilled asparagus with sea salt and lemons as well as some sinus cleansing honey sriracha roasted Brussel Sprouts with cashews.
While they offer more than several delicious desserts, their Bananas Foster Butter Cake will set your heart fluttering.

As an added inducement, I have managed to secure a private room for us.
ATTENTION OENOPHILES: I will be bringing a few 15 - 30 year old bottles of red wines (CA Cab, Italian Brunello, French Bordeaux) to share along with some vintage French champagne and tasty whites. If you care to partake, be prepared to cover a corkage charge of $25 per bottle.
CAVEAT: The aromas and taste of older wines are very different from tasty young wines. They are not fruit forward and do not have many, if any, primary fruit flavors or smells which the vast majority of wine drinkers are used to. Their flavors and aromas are mostly secondary and tertiary. Additionally, they tend to be balanced and more rounded than young wines and so do not hit your taste buds hard. In order to appreciate and get the most pleasure out of these wines I recommend you swish the wine in all parts of your mouth, focus on the wine during this time and think about what you are tasting, the mouth feel, and the "finish" in your throat when you finally swallow.
Parking should not be a problem as there is a parking lot and metered parking.
