Cars Inpection
Your participation is subject to your car's inspection at the day of the event. Most often a car that is safe for the street will be safe for an Autocross. There are however a few things you should check before arriving at the event.
• Battery – Is your battery securely mounted. Are the cables tight to the battery posts?
• Brakes – You will want to have pads and rotors that are in good condition. Your brakes will be used hard in an autocross and should not be down to the minimum wear levels. Also check your brake fluid. Fluid at the proper level is important, as well as have the old fluid replaced if you have not done so in the last year.
• Wheels – Make sure the lug nuts are torqued properly. If you don’t have a torque wrench, make sure this is check during the event tech inspection.
• Tires – Check your tires for condition and inflation.
• Throttle – If you have a car with an old-style throttle, check to make sure the return spring is operating properly.
